Through the generosity of Long Beach businesses, residents, and charitable organizations, the LBFD Spark of Love program is able to provide toys for roughly 400 individual families and over 20 different large community groups each year. This positive interaction with the Fire Department builds goodwill within our community, and provides kids with positive role models. Toys are collected throughout December at various city events, from businesses and schools, and from residents who drop off toys at our fire stations.

This program runs as a result of numerous volunteer hours put forth by our LBFD firefighters, lifeguards, Ambassadors, and citizens. Deliveries are made throughout the month of December, culminating in our CODE 3 Delivery Day when fire trucks and volunteer elves parade through the city with Santa in his fire engine sleigh delivering the abundance of toys.
